Real Weddings: Lindsey + Tyler

Lindsey and Tyler’s Atlanta wedding is so elegant and traditionally Southern!  Everything from the navy blue and pink color palette to the gorgeous location of the Atlanta Botanical Garden is pure, classic, beauty. Melissa Schollaert captured all of the lovely images, Lindsey Pitt of TOAST Events planned and executed the day flawlessly, and Amy Osaba worked her usual magic with the flowers – which included centerpieces of blueberries!

In addition to using the traditional Baptists vows, the couple exchanged vows that they had written.  They also incorporated their love of reading.  The bride’s cousins read selections from Philippians and from The Alchemist, by Paolo Coehlo.  They also included a passage from their favorite book, Lonesome Dove, by Larry McMurtry, on the back of the programs.

A beautiful feature! Love, love, the blueberries, and the cute expressions of the Bride. Well done Melissa and Lindsay!

  2. Kathi writes...

I’m intrigued and confused about the college coffee table book guest book. How did they use them?

Thanks for the awesome post, Ami. We thought we should comment to point out that the hair and makeup Lindsay was Lindsay Block, not Lindsay Pitt. Hair and makeup were two of the very, very few things that Lindsay Pitt actually didn’t take care of. Also, to answer Kathi’s question, we provided black and silver markers and encouraged the guests to sign anywhere they wanted to in either of the college books. We thought they would make good coffee table books for our living room in the future.

Were the tuxes navy/midnight blue? If so, where were they from? They seem so difficult to find!!!
