Real Weddings: Ben + Kristin

Ben and Kristin married in purple-infused wedding in the park!  I adore Kristin’s purple suede shoes, the potted herb centerpieces and perfect purple veined calla lilies used throughout the bouquets.  All of these gorgeous images are by one of my lovely friends, Jessie from Simply Jessie Photography.

To create the centerpieces, Kristin and Ben ordered 120 herb plants, including oregano, cilantro, purple sage, basil, and thyme, and purchased votive holders from Ikea.  They spent an entire evening before the wedding cutting back the herbs and planting them in the votive holders!  They dried the herbs they cut back and Kristin still uses them while cooking.

Jessie always manages to find the perfect light for portraits – I love the soft, romantic feel of these.

Entertainment during cocktail hour included yard games of cornhole and bocci ball, allowing their guests to relax while waiting for the reception to begin, and the bridal party to play in formal attire.
