I imagine that I went overboard when choosing the images for this wedding. But you see, there are just too many beautiful images not to share them all, and I’ve quite literally fallen in love with the magic of Scotland after seeing them. So, you’ll just have to forgive me…
Shona and Nathan met in Washington, DC, when her journalism job in London had transferred her there. After quickly falling in love, he visited her in Scotland (her hometown, just outside of Edinburgh) and proposed. They were married at the stunning Alvie Estates, with the ceremony at the Alvie Church, and Rebekah J Murray captured all of these gorgeous images.

Shona designed her headpiece, which was made by Bridget Webster. And her gown – oh that gown! It’s stunning isn’t it? The designer is Lusan Mandongus.

They incorporated their wedding tartan colors into everything, from her custom shoes to the table runners. Shona’s mother made tablet (Scottish candy) from an old family recipe as favors. Catering was done by the Alvie Estates chef and all of the food was produced/grown on the estate.

Scotland is really beautiful, albeit really cold, for weddings but these photos capture the beauty of Scotland really nicely. Thanks for sharing.
Bet that was a very happy wedding. The groom should have worn the Scotland skirt too. And it’s gonna be really unforgettable for everybody who witnessed it. Best wishes to Shona and Nathan.
