Dreamy Loft Wedding Inspiration

Welcome to round 2 of the Inspired Creations Contest! I am so so excited to kick the entries off with positively gorgeous pink, gold, and champagne loft wedding inspiration from the team of Kellie Kano and Elissa Keno! You may remember these ladies from their amazing Retro Rockabilly Milkshake Bar in the first Inspired Creations Contest, and I think they have outdone themselves with this dreamy and romantic concept inspired by the rose and cream-colored brick walls of their loft space and based on a tradition called the May Tree.

Loft-Wedding-Inspiration

There are many places in the world with a tradition of attaching a strip of fabric or ribbon to special trees for good luck, good health, or simply for a man to share his love for a special woman. Painted white and adorned with lovely ribbons in shades of silver, gold, rose, and cream, the May Tree takes on an ethereal quality perfect for a spring wedding day.

To refresh your memory on the contest, Cyd from The Sweetest Occasion and I challenged wedding vendors to get together to create unique and inspiring wedding concepts using one of 2011′s best trends – Glitter and Glam! Everyone was free to infuse their concept with as much creativity as possible, but there was one catch – items purchased could not exceed a total of $500. This means that each and every idea that they are bringing to you is completely approachable for all budgets, and to sweeten the deal even more, several of these fabulous and talented vendors have included DIY instructions for their creations too! Incredibly, Elissa and Kellie pulled together this fabulous concept for a mere $205.

How did they do it? Chairs, china, glassware, and silverware were purchased from Goodwill. In lieu of linen, gold glitter paper from Michael’s topped the modern, elegant table, which was dressed with crisp white dinnerware, pale pink napkins, and a blush glass centerpiece. Tissue paper pomanders hung from the rafters, and of course the striking focus of the decor is the gorgeous May Tree, which was created by Elissa and her husband and dressed with ribbons in shades of pink, champagne, white, and gold.

No wedding is complete without sweets of course, and Elissa and Kellie created a delectable dessert display featuring a gorgeous three-layer white and pale pink wedding cake from Maxie B’s.

The colors were so soft and elegant. The design was beautiful and well presented. The tree was very creative and a perfect touch! The pictures captured the romantic mood.

  12. What a stunning color palette! We love the cake pops, too. We just wrote a blog today for our blog site (blog.weddzilla) about sweet treat bars & included them. It’s such a hot trend right now! It’s nice to see they kept it very elegant and classic, but were still able to include some beautiful new trends, too! This wedding gets our vote for the most inspirational!

  13. Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous.

  14. How beautiful! Love the lofty, airy-ness of this piece! Love the contrast of soft hues with the exposed brick, makes the tree really stand out and take the limelight. High impact and romantic. Well done!

This is just stunning. I love that “simple” and “budget” didn’t translate into boring. The color scheme, the cake, the table top… everything is just perfect. Fantastic job!

Having been a native of this area, I love how you used what we love in this town like Maxie B’s (my favorite bakery) and what use to be a factory years ago that they are trying to bring back for business and shops. It was perfect for your shoot with the colors and texture. I would be dishonest if I did did comment on the ethereal beauty in her timeless gown thankful she could wear it again right before I had it heirloomed.
I wish we knew you when she actually did get married for the whole decor was stunning!

  20. fantastic! whimsical and fab!

I absolutely love everything about this! So beautiful!

  36. Amazing! This color palatte is romantic and glamorous. Using these soft colors really emphasizes textures and they did a great job with that. Love the contrast of the rough weathered brick, silky ribbons, soft lace, and glittery gold paper.

  37. I love, love, love this idea and palette. Everything is simple yet elegant and easy to implement on a budget, and the paper idea and May tree is genius! So creative!

  38. PS- I could also see the May tree used in place of a gift table, or a guest book where brides write their wishes to the bride & groom and attach it to the tree

  39. Loved this dreamy wonderland. What a great take on “Glitter + Glam”!

  40. I LOVE this look! Beautiful! I would also love to submit some work to your blog. How might I do that?
