Modern Industrial Glamour

From the metal-topped table to the wire baskets and architectural florals and containers, this Inspired Creations Contest concept is more downtown city glitter than feminine and girly, and I am utterly in love.  Studio28 Photo, The Stylish Soiree, Krista Jon, Archive Vintage Rentals and Ashley Zwar have created a modern, industrial take on glitz and glam with this peach, ivory, and black tabletop.  A black sequin table runner (black sequin is the new it fabric, ya’ll!) creates a dark and dramatic backdrop for the striking centerpiece of airplants, bromeliads, peachy tulips, garden roses, hydrangea, anemones, and reindeer moss.

Champagne coupes were rimmed in sparkling sugar and place cards and menus are all edged in black glitter.  Each little detail, down to the napkin rings, adds a shot of urban glam.

For an extra punch of glitz on the succulents, these ladies sprayed adhesive on the edges of the succulents and glittered them with a custom-mixed an array of peaches and pinks from the Martha Stewart Glitter Kit.  The greatest part is that you can replant the succulent with the glitter and it will continue to grow – the glitter won’t last forever but it’s a fun look while it lasts!

With a materials cost of only $336.50 this look is easy on the eyes and the wallet.  I love this look for the 21st century bride – well-heeled and on a mission to be fabulous.  Sound off in the comments if you love it too!

  2. Stephanie writes...

LOVE the use of anemones! The bouquet is absolutely stunning. Is there any way we could get a breakdown of what was used in it? The color scheme in this entry is perfect for my fall wedding!

  3. Black is always elegant. Even though you combine it with other colors, its is always perfect. The cloth that they used glitters and the two ladies in the picture look glamorous and stunning in there dress.

  4. Class, i love the vintage tables. It does not lack colour but also shows a real smooth approach to the colours used. Very nice and awesome photography. Centre pieces are pretty awesome too.
