Things I Love: Keys

One of my favorite stories when I was younger was The Secret Garden, by Frances Hodgson Burnett. After I read that story, I imagined one day I’d find a garden of my own simply by walking through some thick brush or by finding an old, mysterious-looking key that would unlock a secret door. Ever since then I’ve always thought that there was just something magical about old skeleton keys…what do they open? To whom did they belong? It’s exactly that mystery and magic that make them one of my absolute favorite details.

Keys as a guest book? Love it. The couple had guests pick a key, attach a note with their marital advice to it, and tie it to a tree.

And finally, two of my favorites together: ribbons and keys. Fantastic!

How else can you incorporate keys? Or, did anyone use keys for their wedding? How did you end up collecting so many keys?
