Real Weddings: Kim + Brian

There are so many things that I love about Kim & Brian’s wedding: the gorgeous setting, the cozy log cabin venue, their adorable dog, Kim’s safflower bouquet…oh and I could go on! Friends and family met Kim and Brian for their wedding at The HideOut in Kirkwood, California. Although I adore all of the details from their big day, my favorite are the hundred or so handmade paper flowers that hung above the couple during their ceremony. These amazing photos by Julia Wade include some of my all-time favorite portraits and capture an incredible day!

The following Northern California vendors contributed to Kim and Brian’s wedding:

Photography – Julia Wade \ Venue – The HideOut \ Favors – SternCow pint glasses with design by Marissa at Two Paw Prints \ Gown – Pronovias, Bolero by maryandangelika on Etsy \ Jewelry – Sorrelli \ Headpiece – H&M \ Shoes – Naya \ Suit – Kenneth Cole \ Catering – Bella Cucina Catering \ DJ – Abra Jeffers, Truc Nguyen, Luke Wirth \ Ceremony music – Katharina Ullman \ Lanterns, paper stars, and bistro lights – Luna Bazaar* and Hometown Evolution

  1. As a bridal hair and makeup artist in Florida, we’re not used to rustic settings, but I LOVE to see the wedding finery surrounded by the rustic elements! The cabin, the canoe, the flowers etc. were all so beautiful!! I wish there were more pictures!!! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for featuring our wedding, it is so much fun to look at the pictures again! I’m glad you liked our Mexican paper flowers. They were a lot of work, but worth it!!
Our photographer was amazing, we highly recommend her! You can check out more pics on her website.

  3. Oh, the shots are LOVELY! I shot the first wedding at the Hide Out after it was opened up for weddings and tried to talk to the couple into getting on that rock on the lake but no luck! That shot is beautiful though! I will get another chance to try for it though- I’m shooting three more weddings there this year. I just love this venue SO MUCH! It’s beautiful and this photographer did a terrific job of capturing the ambiance!
