Friday Flowers: Dahlia Bouquets

Today’s flowers are truly a TGIF treat! While rounding up one of my absolute favorite flowers, there was one thing about dahlias that stuck out the most – the enormous size of certain types! Dahlias come in so many sizes, textures, and a ton of colors from bronze to pink to purple to orange to deep red to yellow, they can be used in an enormous variety of arrangements. The types that we’re featuring here today all fit in the A or AA category of dahlias, meaning they can be up to 12″ in diameter – there’s even a kind called “dinnerplate”! Dramatic and show-stopping, all these bouquets feature some very large dahlias and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

What do you think? Are they too big to be featured in a bouquet or do you adore them like I do? Did you use any of these beautifully bold flowers in your wedding? I’d love to see more photos!

All you dahlia lovers out there who may even want to plant some of your own (I know I will be this year) should check out this wonderful website, they say it’s easy to do so we’ll see! Have a great weekend everyone!
