Friday Flowers: Astilbe

There are a few flowers that are the superstars in our wedding world–peonies, hydrangea, garden roses, orchids–but it’s often the lesser-known flowers accompanying them who truly sell the feel of the arrangement. In our Friday Flowers feature, I want to highlight not only the superstars, but the flowers in supporting roles as well in hopes of guiding you brides out there still trying to narrow down exactly what they want for their big day. Today we have a flower who usually is seen as a filler to other flowers but that can also have a huge impact when it’s the star of the show–Astilbe!

Here’s astilbe when used with other flowers. I love the soft and textured feel it gives arrangements.

Astilbe is hands down one of my favorite flowers to include in an arrangement and now that I’ve seen these bouquets, I love how it looks all by itself too! What do you think? For more flower love, make sure you follow our flower board on Pinterest!
