Creative Placemat Ideas

With so much focus on floral centerpieces and linens to decorate tables, sometimes it’s easy to forget about the other ways to add interest to a table. One of my favorite ways (and often a super-affordable way) is to have a creative placemat!

Oh do I love me some calligraphy! Here are some beautiful calligraphed options for placemats:

Clear plates allow beautiful writing to show through. (Ok this second one isn’t a placemat, but imagine that beautiful black and white calligraphed menu underneath a clear plate instead, just like in the doily photo? Would be so pretty!)

I love how the clear plate of this setting allows the teal detail of the table runner blend right in with the napkin wrap (check out the DIY on this runner here).

And finally, how wonderful are these FREE vintage-inspired printable placemats? Print them on different colored paper if you’d like too!
