Things I Love: Lavender

I absolutely adore lavender—its color, smell, texture—so of course I love seeing it used in weddings! Wherever it’s used, its wonderful fragrance will surely add an extra dimension to the day. Even better that it’s known to be relaxing too! Who wouldn’t want a bit more relaxation on their wedding day?

These simple and fresh boutonnieres are absolute perfection:

Use bunches of lavender alone or mixed in with other flowers throughout the day:

Use lavender as fragrant decor as guests take their escort cards or take their seats during the ceremony:

I love this single sprig of lavender tied around silverware:

Add lavender to drinks or dessert as a delicate, fragrant garnish:

Or, you could just get married in lavender fields (swoon!)

How sweet is this flower girl in her lavender crown! I’d like to wear one of these every day.

  1. Mmmmm, I could almost smell it while looking at this post! P.S. If you have never had a lavender latte, I highly recommend it! Talk about the perfect touch to a lavender themed wedding.

  2. The lavender is just lovely. I am completely smitten with that gorgeous centerpiece. We used lavender at our wedding in the place of traditional wedding rice as we were leaving the reception.

Would it be out of season to use dried lavender centerpieces in an August wedding????
