“The recurring theme in my wedding,” Kassie said of her wine country nuptials to Skylar, “was everything had to be custom. Everything done by hand.” Take, for example, the couple’s deep violet invitations, letter pressed by Elizabeth Hubbell Studio on an antique printing machine. Or the fact that the bride hand-rolled cigars and gave them to guests as favors. Each floral vessel—some made of pipe fittings and scrap metal—was hand-picked by Kassie and event designer Dee Merz. But the pièce de résistance of this custom fête was the bride’s gift to her groom. “I surprised him by designing a table made of the Redwood his late father, Bruce, used to build his cabin,” Kassie said. “The table was set up as our head table and—in front of all of our guests—I gave my speech, revealing to Skylar what I had done with his dad’s Redwood. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room!” Soak up all the beauty photographed by Lisa Lefkowitz, if you can!
