Las Vegas Wedding at Red Rock Country Club

Molly and Paul’s romantic desert wedding makes the most of the stunning mountain backdrop of Red Rock Country Club. The December Las Vegas weather was warm enough for an outdoor ceremony, which featured a positively gorgeous wedding arbor designed by CITY blossoms. Molly embraced having a winter wedding and selected a palette of silver and gray with lush ivory blooms for a simple yet elegant look. Molly accented her Justin Alexander lace gown with a fingertip veil and chic loose waves styled by Amelia C. & Co.. Her gown also held a special surprise for Paul! Molly shares “My husband plays baseball for the NY Mets, and we both agreed to keep baseball out of our wedding decor. But since baseball is such a huge part of our lives, I surprised him with the Mets emblem patch inside my dress as my “something blue”. He saw it for the first time during the garter toss and the look on his face was priceless.” From the joyous ceremony to the reception glimmering with candlelight, there’s so much to love in all of the beautiful images by KMH Photography!

How did you meet?
Paul and I met while I was attending Arizona State University. He was a couple years into his professional baseball career and was living in Arizona while playing in a Fall league. We spent most of the night exchanging looks and smiles across the bar, until I finally walked up to him and introduced myself. From that moment on, we were inseparable.

What is your proposal story?
Paul told me he wanted to have a date night, this was not uncommon in the off season as we play catch up for the months we miss out on while he is traveling. But what is uncommon is him not wanting any advice on a restaurant! I was surprised that we were going somewhere I had never heard of, but tried to not question it too much. We showed up to the JW Marriott Resort, where he first met my parents, and he walked me outside into the dark. As we approached the wedding gazebo I realized what was happening. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! After the proposal, we entered the restaurant at the resort where he had a private room with roses, candles and champagne.

What was the most important to the two of you while planning? Was there anything that you chose to splurge on or skip?
We decided from the beginning, the guests were the most important. We wanted all of our loved ones and friends there to witness our wedding day, above all else. We splurged on photographs and videography to be sure we had memories for a lifetime. We also splurged on flowers, because let’s be honest, who doesn’t love flowers!

Do you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now?
Enjoy the engagement phase and have fun with it! It goes by so quickly and I wish we could relive it every year.
