Pushing the Envelope
Just as important as your invitation, the envelope sometimes gets forgotten about in the rush of addressing and mailing. When your guests receive their invitation in the mail, the envelope will be the first thing they see, therefore the envelope should show as much care and detail as your invitations. Here are some ways you can make your envelope extra special.
Wax Seals
Wax seals date back to the Middle Ages, and were originally used as evidence that a package had been tampered with, as you would have to break the seal to get the package open. These days, wax seals are decorative and come in a variety of colors and decorations to imprint in the wax.
Modern day equipment makes wax sealing easier than ever. Most craft stores sell glue gun sealing wax, which can be used in a hot glue gun. Another great way to get the look of sealing wax with less of a hassle is to order pre-made wax seals. These come already in the circular shape, much like stickers, which you then stick right onto the envelope. Wax seals will give any envelope a little more decoration and personalization.

A Cinderella-Inspired Bridal Shower Invitation
Invitations are not only an important part of your wedding, they play a major role in any party you throw! At Zenadia Design, we create couture invitations for any type of event, including bridal showers. The following invitation was designed for a Cinderella theme bridal shower.
Kaytie, the bride-to-be, is completely smitten with Cinderella. Her sister, the bridal shower host, said Kaytie would live at Disneyland if she could. With Kaytie’s love for Cinderella and all things Disney, we went to work designing an invitation Kaytie would simply adore.

Your Wedding Style on Paper, part II
On to part II of our Hollywood Glamour theme wedding: the invitation.
After meeting with Sari and Andy and getting to know them, and taking a trip to the El Rey, I was able to create the perfect opener to Sari and Andy’s special day.
The invitation arrived in a red envelope, complete with vintage Hollywood theme stamps.
Open the envelope to reveal an invitation made completely out of black satin with white feather trim.

Your Wedding Style on Paper, Part I
Hollywood Glamour. A theme anyone could get excited about. So how exactly do you translate this theme onto your invitation? One of the most important aspects of your wedding, the invitation plays a very crucial role as the opener to your event. It has to be personal, unique, and able to get your guests excited about coming to the event. It also has to convey your wedding theme or style to its receiver.
In this 3 part series, we’ll show how the invitation design process moves from a conversation, to the invitation, to the actual celebration.
Sari and Andy were getting married in October, and wanted a Hollywood Glamour theme for their wedding. Being fans of vintage Hollywood, they wanted something chic and glamorous for their wedding invitation. Their reception was to be held at an old renovated theatre on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles. Built in 1936, the El Rey Theatre was the perfect choice for Sari and Andy. After meeting with and getting to know Sari and Andy, my first order of business was to visit the El Rey to obtain further inspiration for this lavish invitation.

Invitations
Rather than state the obvious, lets take a look at a few etiquette tips:

Paper Products: What’s really necessary?
Your budget is small, your wedding desires are large, so where do you draw the line when it comes to your paper products?
