Garden Party
The letterpress Cornucopia Invitation (the cornucopia being a symbol of abundance) is a great way to celebrate spring and welcome new beginnings. For this look, we love pieces that are vintage inspired combined with rustic elements. Shades of green create a casual cool, perfect for when the days are warm and the flowers are in bloom.

Secret Garden
In light of A’s post on at-home events and our gorgeous backyard wedding from earlier this week, I felt inspired to do a garden board. It’s full of soft colors and outdoor goodness!

If you can’t paint them yourself like Darci’s dad, am in love with those Delightful Details signs. At only $59 apiece they would add such a great touch to your outdoor event!

Neutral Orange
We get lots of emails from brides who are eager to use orange in their color scheme. I absolutely love the color and think it’s a perfect complement to so many palettes! This take on orange has it almost taking on the properties of a neutral color, and is slightly rustic and whimsical. Inspired by the bride and groom top center via Nibs.

Are you using orange in your event? In what mood or context will it appear?

Soft Pink and Green Garden Wedding
Reader Jess is having a September wedding in Indiana. She says:
Our wedding colors are pink, green and ivory. Our location is the Indiana State Museum for the ceremony and reception with the ceremony being outside along our man-made canal in Indianapolis. The state museum is very modern and clean design lines. I want it to be a bit more “garden-y” though and struggling for ideas!
Pink and green is such a pretty palette but it can go in so many different directions, so I really wanted to emphasize the softness of each color in this board. I think my favorite piece is the invitation. So classic and simple.

Jess I hope this helps in your planning and gives you some ideas for making your wedding garden-y.

Alison’s Green Inspiration Board
Reader Alison has put together this gorgeous inspiration board for her wedding this summer. She says:
My wedding in August will take place under an oak tree canopy and so my fiance and I decided to go with the green foresty theme. I designed my inspiration board to reflect our love of nature, using green foliage and white flowers, without being too rustic.

I absolutely love what she’s put together! It’s completely organic and natural but using the emerald-infused greens rather than the grassy greens really makes her vision come to life.
Great job Alison! We can’t wait to see pictures from your wedding!

Pretty Garden Weddings – White, Soft Green, and Blush
I was browsing the Knot planning pages tonight, something that I don’t usually do, although I find great inspiration from the bios. But I’m loving this board I made from the “Outdoor/Garden” Real Weddings section – with greens and whites and a hint of blush. This would be ideal for a country club wedding or an elegant backyard affair.

For the invitation, I would do a beautiful creamy white paper with green letterpress, something rustic. Perhaps something similar to this invitation by Marsville Letterpress, in a cream envelope with a beautiful blush and cream floral lining.

Perhaps I really am a Southern girl at heart, because this inspiration board is starting to look absolutely gorgeous to me, and it’s totally not my style!

PS – How adorable is that puppy?
