Every now and then I come across a wedding that is not only drop-dead gorgeous, but it’s so creative it warms my soul. That’s Kristen and Matt’s wedding. Kristen, an art director for a cosmetics company, created the entire event herself from start to finish, and the result, photographed by the talented and sweet Daisy Varley, was absolute perfection.

Kristen chose a Mexican fiesta theme for the wedding, full of bright colors, family traditions, paper flowers, and fabulous details!

Bridesmaids were asked to choose a Mexican peasant dress and hem it to their liking.

The wedding was held at Condor’s Nest Ranch in Pala, CA.  Guests were able to stay on the grounds, so signs pointed the way to the wedding and the camping!

Mike and Erika’s San Juan Capistrano wedding, much like Erika’s bridal shower, is all about classic romance and lots of pink!  Sandra Pan of Sandra P Photography did such a wonderful job capturing all of the details.

Rancho Capistrano is such a gorgeous venue, and Flower Allie’s work is always top-notch.  Soft pink chiffon Jenny Yoo bridesmaids dresses are highlighted by fluffy pink and white bouquets.

Taking a break this week from my sessions on being a wedding planner to bring you some of the most gorgeous eye candy this side of the Grand Canyon!

A few weeks ago in April I had the pleasure of working with Sarah K. Chen at one of my area’s most sought-after venues, Ranchos Las Lomas!

The key to exceptional portraits: smile with your eyes. Study America’s Next Top Model ladies, what they say is true! Don’t forget it! Practice in front of the mirror. Take LOTS of pictures while you’re engaged, and be ready to commit. Yvonne committed to this rule and gave Sarah an easy time- look how naturally gorgeous each of her photos feel!!

J&J were one of the FUNNEST couples that my team and I have worked with! They’ve got spunk, they’ve got sass, and more than that… they’re pretty down right gorgeous. I love a couple that doesn’t take anything too seriously! They were actually already technically married before they had “the wedding”, which made the event that much more memorable for their friends and family… and added that extra ounce of fun!

These wedding pictures are a HUGE treat-skie for me because I just got them today. Jamie and Jeff’s wedding was last September and I knew that Tony Florez was going to KILL it with their photos. Right I was! I was so so SO excited, image by image, going through all of these today! With no further delay…

The reason for this post is threefold:

1. I have been so SO intensely busy working on a delightful project that came to fruition yesterday which is the reason for my late post.
2. Jenny and Stuart had an amazing real wedding back in the summer of 2007
3. My intense project [which was a photo shoot] took place just yesterday, the day of my weekly column, AT their venue Rancho Capistrano!

A few tender words from me: I apologize for my tardy post! I hate that about me!! :) But more than that, apologies for the delay on my series! I really didn’t want to break it up, but these pictures will likely make up for it anyhow. Just hold your horses for next week!!

Now, onto the pictures!!

Jenny’s wedding was amazing. Her and her mother took the time to truly personalize SO much stuff! Her flowers were provided by the ever-consistent and jaw-dropper, Flower Allie, who was also involved in yesterday’s project with me!! :)

I loved the personal details- I’ll say it again- LOVED them! Her mom made this mossy R and it was the background for their entire ceremony, along with two lush floral splashes!

I thought I’d give you guys a bit of a tasty treat for the day [and don't I love blogging on Wednesdays, because it's the MIDDLE of the week? YES I do!].

Madeleine and Steve were married this past August and their nuptials were nothing short of stylishly fabulous! Being an interior designer, Maddy knew how to take her event to the next level and I was THRILLED to be along for the ride!! Let’s start with her fabulous outfit:

Heck YES it’s pink and YES it’s entirely made of wavy ruffles. I couldn’t get enough of this dress! You may recognize it because one of the two Wedding Chicks, Amy Squires was her photographer and has raved and raved about this wedding [as I am]!!
