Perfect for a Vineyard Wedding

Anyone out there having a vineyard-themed wedding? I saw this DIY tutorial for a wine bottle tiki torch over on Design*Sponge and thought it was such a great idea! We’re not doing anything with a vineyard theme, but might make them for our back yard anyway.

So of course I just HAD to find an inspiration board to go along with the torch and thanks to Snippet & Ink, I found one!

How pretty would this be in a small evening outdoor/garden reception with twinkle lights overhead in the trees…sigh.

And, the personalization options are endless…colored bottles (I tried those DIY painted bottles…post coming soon!), acrylic-painted bottles, logos…We have a beautiful wine bottle that has the owner of the vineyard’s hand print in all the beautiful paint colors, that’d be pretty!

The one thing I might change if it was for a wedding though is the look of the threads on the rod…to me it makes it look a bit science experimenty, ya know? Anyone have any ideas of how to maybe weddingize it? Either way, it’s a great excuse to clean out your wine cellar. Just make sure you wait a while after you finish the bottle (like the next day) until you try the DIY :)

Real Weddings: Marisa + Tony

We have SO MUCH PRETTY for you today my friends… starting off with a beautiful wine country wedding from Edyta Szyszlo!  We are so excited to welcome her to EAD today with Marisa and Tony’s Sonoma, CA wedding - it’s just to die for.  Marisa and Tony are from St. Louis but decided to hold a destination wedding in California and were blessed with a gorgeous April day for their event!

I love this photo of Marisa, because she looks so relaxed and happy to be marrying Tony.

The ceremony was held at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Ascension in Oakland.

The couple then shuttled their guests to the stunning Nicholson Ranch Winery for the reception.  Portraits in a vineyard?  Perfection.

A Conversation about Colors

The second question vendors ask me after “when is your wedding?” is “what are your colors?” and then they diligently write it down in my file. Last week, I felt like I was failing at some bridal test because I couldn’t name the type of green I wanted at the wedding during a vendor meeting. I finally just said “I don’t know–any green! Maybe not olive? What do you think? Yes olive?” I watched her watching me trying to come up with a correct answer without a Pantone book, and that’s when I thought, man, I could really use a Snippet and Ink inspiration board right about now!
