Real Wedding: Kerri + Jamie
We have another beautiful wedding from Tana Photography. Kerri and Jamie married last September in Boise, Idaho. The bride and groom planned every detail together, putting to rest the myth that all grooms refuse to get involved in party planning. The wedding was very intimate, only 50 guests were in attendance.
The photostrip feel of these 3 images immediately pulled me in.
You can tell the bride and groom were comfortable and relaxed. How cute are the bare feet!
Details after the jump…

The Etiquette of Tipping
Post has gone through several revisions based on an ongoing conversation between E and I.
We’ve had a few emails from readers requesting advice on gratuities and gifts for vendors. We though we would answer these as best we can.

Date Night #3: Music Make the World Go Round
All right ladies, pull out the old Kiss t-shirts and plan to rock! Well, not really. More like sit back in a chair and relax while listening to great music. It’s time to find a great music venue to relax and hear great music.
The best place to find venues like this is in your independent newspaper. Read the concert offerings to find a coffee shop that has live music on the weekend. Go and see someone that you’ve never heard of.
Amy Gerhartz will be playing at the Black Bear Tavern (Buckhead, Atlanta) next weekend.
Jana Hunter is playing tonight at the Bottle Tree Cafe (Birmingham, Alabama).
Rachel Unthank is playing at Schubas Tavern (Chicago, Illinois) tomorrow evening.
If you’re not on a budget and want a party instead of relaxation, go see Madonna! Her US dates start in October.
Personally, we love WorkPlay (non-smoking venue) and Small Stages (BYOB concerts held in someone’s home) here in Birmingham.
Menu: Save the planet and go vegetarian tonight. If you have one, eat at a great local vegetarian restaurant! If not, try this recipe for fresh tomato lasagna from Myrecipes.com:

Real Weddings: Jenny + Micah
When I saw a few images from Tana Photography on With This Ring, I knew I had to find out more. I’m happy I did! Tana’s blog is filled with the loveliest of images from my home state of Idaho. She graciously sent over images from two weddings and we’re so happy to share them with you!
Micah and Jenny began their marriage in September of last year. They used pears throughout the celebration, and the result is so chic and sweet.
The lovely couple (how gorgeous is Jenny?!)
Oh the details! How we love them. The pears are perfect for the colors and location. They chose mostly black and white with a few hints of green.

Our Programs
This week, E and I will be sharing some of our fabulous creations. Yay for creativity! First up, the programs from my wedding in March of 2007. E spent a LOT of time on these, and they went well beyond anything I have ever done or seen since then. E used diagonal enclosures from Paper Source, a variety of gorgeous papers, ribbon, punches, brads, vellum and stamps. As you can imagine, they took her forever to complete, but the end result was so incredibly perfect.
The front of the program. (This is actually upside down.)
The entire packet with 4 enclosures. We included: order of service, wedding party, poem (written by my husband) and our new address with information about the group photo.
