Getting to Know Me

Wow! It’s so exciting to be guest blogging this week for Elizabeth Anne Designs. I starting planning my wedding on April 28, 2007 and got married on May 3, 2008 and I’ve loved reading this blog to find inspiration for our big day. The images, the ideas, and the advice were so valuable to me throughout the process!

I am going to start by introducing myself. My name is Erin and my new husband and I live in Columbia, South Carolina. We love South Carolina, but I’m a Louisiana girl at heart. I have a blog (Blue Eyed Bride) that turned into a wedding blog shortly after I started it. I have loved catching up with other brides and can’t believe the great big world of wedding blogs that I never new existed!

A. and I are so excited to bring you a fantastic guest blogger this week, Erin from Blue Eyed Bride.  Erin was recently married, and it was fabulous, but I’ll let you see that for yourself during this week as she takes you through her planning process all the way up to her big day!

Welcome Erin, we are thrilled to have you here!

Around the Blogosphere: 6/28-7/04

A. and I read so many different amazing blogs that we thought we would begin sharing our favorite posts/ideas/links of the week.  We hope you enjoy and if there is anything you would like to see featured in our “Around the Blogosphere” column, please send us an email to {elizabeth anne designs at gmail dot com}.

TWIB (this week in blogging!):

On a sad note, our hearts go out to Jessica Lynn of Tying the Knot for the sudden passing of her father.  She is an amazing person and we are saddened by her tragic loss.  Please offer her some strength and kind words and keep her and her family in your thoughts.

Wedding Planning Audiocast

Last week, we had a chance to speak with Ralph from The Wedding Planning Audiocast. You can hear our interview here on the website. The audiocast is a fabulous resource with a gazillion interviews with our favorite wedding experts. From Sylvia Weinstock to Sasha Souza, they have it all. They also have several interviews with the fantastic wedding bloggers you all know and love. Check them out!  I’ve been listening to the casts for a few months now and love them.

We had such a great time, and I hope you enjoy hearing a little bit about what we do and how we do it.

Why we read blogs…

{Image Source: Little White Book, Wedding Chicks, Triple Cord Photography, Perfect Bound}

For venues you didn’t know about
For colors you love
For brides that take your breath away
For florals to drool over

Everyone needs to go check out the wedding at Triple Cord, it truly is one of the most beautiful and endearing weddings I’ve seen so far. The bride and groom are fabulous, not to mention the dogs, groomsmen, bridesmaids and family.

Kelsey Letterpress

Good morning readers!

A quick break from wedding posts. My husband and I are looking for a Kelsey letterpress in good condition. We will take a 5×8 or a 6×10, and would prefer it to be within driving distance of Birmingham. I’ve heard horror stories of presses breaking during shipment. Could you comment below or email me at rebekah at elizabethannedesigns dot com?

Any help is appreciated!
