Happy Friday everyone!

I don’t really have a lot to share this week, and because we all love more inspiration, I thought I’d contribute to purple week by creating an inspiration board myself!

Purple can be such a fun and modern color! It’s a little unexpected, and can be so dramatic. I envision this to be a night time wedding and reception taking place in a loft overlooking downtown. While the ceremony area may be minimal in decoration (a huge wreath against a white wall makes a big statement!), in the reception area it could be fun to swath it in color and candlelight! And if you feel comfortable with it, I think it would be great to rock a mini-dress at this type of wedding! This wedding is all about fun!

When planning a wedding, it’s important to remember that your color palette doesn’t have to be restricted to your flowers and bridesmaid’s dresses. While I’m not recommending a purple overload, feel free to use purple in some unexpected places.

One great example is the ink on your stationery:

Fluffy pink peonies and purple hydrangea meld with delicate china and lots of bling to deliver a very feminine, bold and classic event. I think this one is perfect for a tent!

I have a dream of a bride walking the aisle in the top left dress. Wouldn’t it be perfect?!

Icy shades of periwinkle blend with stark whites, champagne and a hint of brown to create an elegant and classic palette.

I picture this as a daytime wedding on a bright winter’s day, complete with lots of yummy chocolates and coffee.  And yes, you spy lettering in SUGAR in the bottom right corner.  People can do the darndest things when they put their mind to it.
