Red + Gold Modern Glam

2012 is going to be the year of glam and glitz – so what better way to sparkle than by adding metallics to your color palette! I’m in love with fresh and bright gold these days – pair it with almost any shade and you have instant glamour. This board mixes textured gold with a clean white and poppy red for a cheery, modern look! Red is a tricky shade for weddings, but when you keep it as the accent color it can light up a room!

Mustard, Olive, and Dove

I love unique and unexpected color palettes and have always been a sucker for mustard yellow. If you like your mustard with a little dose of urban and glam, pair it with olive, dove gray, and just a hint of coral and sparkly gold. Perfect for a modern autumn wedding!

Tiffany Blue & Baby Pink

Morning everyone! Earlier this week, this adorable vow renewal was published on Style Me Pretty and I was instantly inspired by the feminine and sweet color combination of tiffany blue and baby pink. Classic and timeless, this palette is for the romantic at heart and would be perfect for a wedding brunch or bridal shower!

Elegant Tuscan Wedding Inspiration

Red, if used properly, is one of my favorite wedding colors. When I spotted this wedding on Once Wed, I knew I had to build an inspiration board around that gorgeous dress and the concept of an elegant wedding inspired by the Italian countryside. Poppy red, soft mint green, and natural, leafy elements work together to bring Tuscany to your doorstep – perfect for your destination (or destination-inspired!) wedding!

Tangerine, Cotton Candy, and Lemon

The moment I saw this image of Christina Hendricks I knew it was the perfect image to create a board around. She’s stunning, and the color palette of coral and soft pink is one I’ve always loved – but pair it with a dose of lemon yellow and you have what Christen and I lovingly dubbed summer salad! Fresh and cheerful, bright and sunshiney, this is one inspiration board I’m absolutely loving – and of course, it’s perfect for lemonade week!

Elegant Lemonade + Pale Pink

Welcome to another color week on EAD, and what better color to celebrate the spirit of summer than lemonade! Throughout the week we’ll be bringing you loads of lemonade inspiration, from bridesmaids dresses to shoes and color palettes, and we’re kicking it off with an inspiration board! Lemonade screams fresh and fun, but trust me when I say that lemonade can be soft and classic too. This board has a palette of the palest of pinks, green, and lemonade which exudes simple, romantic garden elegance. Flowy chiffon and lots of lace add a feminine touch, and the overall result is light, airy and sweet. Someone please use this for their wedding and share! :)

Coral & Sherbet

This is probably one of my favorite inspiration boards ever! I just love how the normally sweet and playful sherbet becomes sexy and delicate when paired with a crisp white and a punch of coral. I would love to see this color palette turned into a wedding – a daytime affair in an airy white loft venue perhaps?

Sherbet, Yellow, & Teal

Welcome to another color week on EAD! This week is all about sweet, romantic, and fun sherbet! Sherbet is one of those colors that can take many personalities, and I thought I’d show its girly side in this week’s first inspiration board – sherbet, yellow, and teal. Dainty and uber-feminine, this board imagines a wedding full of fluffy blooms, sweet lace, and clear metallics. Aqua & Yellow

Cheery and bright, this summery aqua and yellow palette is sure to put some pep in your wedding step! This might just be my favorite of this week’s inspiration boards. Aqua, Lavender & Berry

You think aqua and you think punchy, fun, upbeat – but it can also play an understated role in your color palette. I’m Loving-with-a-capital-L this lavender, berry purple, and aqua inspiration board, full of elegance, girliness, and romance. Perfect for all seasons, there’s a big dose of ruffles and frothy fabric in this board, and I adore how aqua shines but doesn’t steal center stage.
