Stacie & Nick
Arden from Arden Photography sent over two boards that are so lovely! The bride arrived in a vintage Chevy truck and had Coca Cola in glass bottles during the cocktail hour. The reception concluded with a fireworks show and a helicopter departure!

Brides N Blooms
E posted on wholesale flowers yesterday, and I thought I would throw in my opinion. I highly recommend Brides N Blooms. We ordered flowers for our wedding from them, and it was truly the easiest detail to finalize. I called to ask questions because the website didn’t have all the information I needed (it really needs to be updated with more information). They were kind, gave me every detail I needed, shipped them to my in-laws house and called to check the status of delivery. I emailed them with an emergency question and they responded immediately by phone. My sister in law also used them and the quality was the same. They can order anything you need at great rates.
If you’re not comfortable ordering online, but still want complete control. You can go with a local wholesale florist. They typically have rooms and fridges that can be rented out for your event. You can store and arrange the flowers a couple days before, and have them picked up the day of.
E is right, it can be VERY stressful. The hubby and I happen to have aunts who are very talented. They both pitched in and did a great job.

Standard Deluxe
Alabama has thousands of small towns filled with really creative people. They’ve checked out of the big city lifestyle, and create in their backyard studios and barns. One such town is Waverly, and in it, the business Standard Deluxe. They’re a graphic designs and screen printing business. They do amazing work and are perfect for a completely custom invitation and paper goods set. They’ll even print your t-shirts and media covers for you.

B&A Warehouse
One of the best places (in my opinion) to throw an event in Birmingham is at B&A Warehouse. It’s a non-traditional urban venue with brick walls and interesting architecture. B&A has several options for any size wedding, from the Brick Room (capacity 375 to 950) to the Bottle Room (capacity 60-125). They have on site catering, with a completely customizable menu. Rental on a Saturday night runs from $375 to $2000. Prices on Sunday thru Friday range from $275 - $1750. The high ranges are for the entire building, and December rates spike a little bit because of the increase in holiday parties. The representatives are friendly and helpful. Overall, it’s a very flexible venue and a great option for an urban wedding.

Jason Wallis Photography
If you’re in the Southeast, it is sometimes hard to find a photographer willing to go outside of the “now stand with your mother and father, a little to the left, there you go. no we don’t give you electronic copies of your photographs” type of wedding photographer. Enter, Jason Wallis Weddings. He’s willing to play it up a little, as much as the couple allows. He also does amazing portraits. You can see more of those at his photography website. I would love to have a shot of myself in a bathtub, fully dressed, with my husband and dog!
