Real Weddings: Robin + Andrew 5.25.2008

We have all been so fortunate over the past year to follow Robin’s journey to the altar on her blog, Chitown Bride.  So we are absolutely *thrilled* to showcase her beautiful wedding and the photography by Studio This Is on Elizabeth Anne Designs!

Robin and Andrew were married at Meyer’s Castle in Dyer, IN.  There were actually three stars of this show though!  The peacocks, apparently abundant at Meyer’s Castle, decided to make many many appearances (read Robin’s hilarious peacock account here).

Jessica Claire Does It Again!

You may remember my giddiness at *these fabulous photos* that Jessica Claire snapped of us in California in December.  Well, she’s done it again!  She happened to be passing through Chicago on Sunday night so we had the opportunity to steal some of her time to take a walk through one of Chicago’s most fabulous neighborhoods, Bucktown, with our most-adorable-puppy-in-the-world, Charlie.

And now, the photos!  Isn’t Charlie the most adorable puppy ever?  You can tell he knows it.  :)

Joie Designs

Simple and beautiful.  Those were my thoughts when I came across the portfolio of Joie Designs, a small letterpress shop here in Chicago.

Not only do they create amazing custom designs but they will also work with those of you who have your design created already and just need them put on paper!  Their portfolio can found here.

K.Amato

My great friend Morgan pointed me in the direction of K.Amato and I’m amazed at all of the beautiful jewelry designs!  Kristen is Chicago-based and will work with brides to create completely custom jewelry at very reasonable prices.  I love these items from her wedding line:

Sarah’s Candies

I previously posted on cupcakes in Atlanta - so this one’s for you, Chicago.  Sarah’s Candies not only has cupcakes but fantastic lemon bars, yummy turtles, great fruit tarts, and amazing cookies.  They do an amazing job packaging their goodies for favors as well.

AND - they do wedding cakes!

Left Bank Jewelry

This one’s for our Chicago readers.  I heart Left Bank Jewelry.  Although they are not a bridal shop, per se, they carry so many special products for weddings, including shoes, brooches and hairpieces (among other gorgeous gifts, such as soaps, candles, and picture frames).

Here are just a few of the bridal items they feature on their website, which does have online ordering capability.

I haven’t started to look for accessories yet but I love those gold hairpins and they would love lovely with my champagne dress!  And those shoes in the middle are pretty — hmm, do they come in ivory I wonder?

They also have trunk shows, so keep an eye out on their website!
