What “green wedding” means to me
Although the title of this post makes me feel a little like I’m writing a middle school essay, I was intrigued by the recent thread on the many ways a wedding can be “green.” Though green is not a prominent color in my wedding palate, my wedding seems to be “green” on at least five levels:
1. We are getting married in roughly our own beloved neighborhood.
2. We are getting married in Central Park, surrounded by the only real pocket of nature on the island of Manhattan.

Meet “Davash”
We’re so excited this week to welcome our second guest blogger!
I’m your guest blogger this week — call me “Davash.” A soon-to-be lawyer living in New York City, I am planning an August 3, 2008 wedding that will take place in Central Park…a full three days after I sit for the New York Bar Exam. I am looking forward to sharing some of my planning process with you, and I also hope to get some great feedback and advice from all of you through the Comments.
Give her a warm welcome, ya’ll!

Michelle Doll Cakes
I found Michelle Doll Cakes today and thought I would pass it on. I’m loving this black and white creation.
And these are some of my other favorites…

Michelle Rago
I’m in a floral mood today… reading wedding blogs, you can’t help but read about the amazing talents of Michelle Rago. So today I decided to check out her site. She doesn’t have a huge amount of pictures out there but what is there is amazing.
My personal favorite is the top right bouquet - so unique with the feathers and crystals - would be perfect for a wintry wedding. If you’re in NYC you’re a lucky bride!
