Real Weddings: Brandy + Blake

In a sunset wedding at the beautiful Wild Onion Ranch in Austin, Brandy and Blake were married under the open sky and stately trees. Their ceremony was held under a wooden gazebo, accenting the rustic feel of the day. After the sun went down, guest dined and danced the night away under twinkling stars, lights, and beautiful florals by The Flower Studio by Coby Neal. Check out the fabulous shoes the bride and her bridesmaids wore! I adore this sweetly elegant wedding and all the photos by Nessa K Photography!

Real Weddings: Elise + Bill

I’m over the moon today to share Elise and Bill’s beyond gorgeous Michigan wedding! Elise is the sister of my dear friend Natalie (the mastermind behind Pemberley Events), and her wedding was infused with so many charming handmade details and the most amazing organic, lush florals from Petal Play Design. The Blue Dress Barn in Benton Harbor, Michigan has such a quaint, rustic feel, and it was the perfect setting for Elise and Bill’s “kind of quirky, eclectic, vintage” wedding. The wedding was a true labor of love for the family. Natalie planned and designed the event, Elise’s father made the wooden flower boxes with chalk sides for the centerpieces, Bill made the cake topper, and Elise’s mother sewed the flower girl dress and even made the wedding cake! Elise and Bill have been together since high school, and their love and joy is so palpable in these beautiful images from Harrison Studio!

Real Weddings: Austin + Brian

I simply love California weddings and this warm and colorful winery wedding is no exception! Healdsburg Country Gardens played a stunning backdrop to Austin and Brian’s big day. A sophisticated yet casual wedding, they decorated with gorgeous rose, dahlia, and freesia arrangements by Floral Designs by Heather Hendrickson. I love all the natural details they used such as the wooden apple baskets and the twig-tied napkins! The gorgeous colors and scenery were brought to life in the images from the always amazing Julie Mikos!

I absolutely love unique color palettes and Jenni’s blend of fall colors with her groom’s Scottish tartan is a breath of fresh air! It was such a warm wedding with lots of DIY details that perfectly blended both season and culture. Jenni and Bill both look gorgeous and positively giddy! Real Weddings: Cori + Nate

An October wedding in the heart of the Colorado mountains? Yes please! Cori and Nate’s nuptials were held at the heavenly Devil’s Thumb Ranch in Fraser, CO. The Rocky Mountains were the spectacular backdrop for the outdoor ceremony. Dinner was served in the gorgeous Broad Axe Barn, made up of a historical building that was moved onto the ranch, piece by piece, and perfectly fit back together. Alexan Events completely transformed the barn into an elegant reception space with taffeta curtains and candlelit lanterns. The violet and green color palette is so beautiful, and I’m completely head over heels for these amazing images from Preston Utley!

Real Weddings: Chloe + Stephen

I absolutely love when weddings are several days long – an extended celebration of friends, family, food, and all the memories being shared AND made! Chloe and Stephen’s wedding was held at Chloe’s parents house and friends and family were around all week helping to set up for the big day (including her grandmother who made all the pie crusts from scratch)! They were married under two big oak trees in the middle of the garden and a romantically light rain fell as they said their vows and exchanged rings. Their wedding sounds like it was such a perfect celebration filled with beautiful details made with lots of love and these photos by Gladys Jem Photography make me feel like a part of the family!

Real Weddings: Jenni + Steve

Jenni wanted to be married under giant trees so when she and Steve came across Orcutt Ranch in West Hills, California, they decided it was their ideal location! It was a classic wedding in shades of purple with rustic touches of burlap and natural twine. A fun detail that Jenni included throughout their wedding was buttons! Buttons were used everywhere from their escort cards, to their custom cake stand, to centerpieces, bouquets, and all the paper goods. I adore the richly gorgeous florals by Jenny B Floral Design. All the photos by APictureLife Photography are beautiful and the ones of Jenni and Steve under all the trees are simply divine!

Real Weddings: Kristen + Ben

There’s nothing more lovely than New England in the fall. Vermont’s Inn at Mountain View Farm was the gorgeous setting for Kristen and Ben’s October wedding, which is chock full of handmade love! These two designed their dream wedding on their own, but they couldn’t have put it together without the help of their family and friends. Kristen’s father collected the mason jars, milk glass, and medicine bottles for the centerpieces, and along with Ben, transformed the barn by stringing 1200 feet of twinkle lights! A close family friend sewed the table runners, and Kristen and Ben were involved in each and every detail of the planning process, including working with Danika of Blomma Flicka Flowers to choose the wheat and wildflower decor. A beautiful wedding full of love, laughter, and joy – and fabulous images from Deborah Zoe Photo!

Real Weddings: Kristen + Andrew

Inspired by the image of a bright pink and purple sunset, Kristen and Andrew’s Loudoun County, Virginia wedding is pure rustic elegance. Held at the beautiful Whitehall Manor, Kristen and Andrew planned an outdoor ceremony with the Blue Ridge mountains as a backdrop. Hurricane Irene had other plans! Luckily, despite the wrath of mother nature, nearly all of the guests made it to the celebrations and the rain certainly did not put a damper on their spirits. The wonderful Holly Chapple created gorgeous, natural arrangements filled with amnesia roses, seeded eucalyptus, astrantia, lavender, dahlias in deep winey purples, and navy berry. I adore the fresh purple and green color palette and the beautiful images from Rob Holley!

Real Weddings: Sam + Wade

Married at the antebellum plantation The Cedars outside of Huntsville, Alabama, Sam and Wade’s wedding was sweet, Southern, and full of personality. Pretty vintage neutrals mixed with pops of fun colors throughout their day – the bridesmaids in soft beige while the bride rocked pink heels and the guys in tan suits with bright red ties – so fun! I love all the colorful wildflower bud vases by Limestone Bay Trading Co. that lined their tables as well as the beautiful quilted table runners. Sam and Wade are just too stinkin’ cute and the photos by Simply Bloom are simply wonderful – it’s easy to see why this was one of their favorite weddings of 2011!
