Anne Almasy is a lifelong photographer, accent-free southerner, avid reader of inexcellent literature, and music lover (all kinds). She prefers whiskey over wine, cats over dogs, and flat shoes over heels — because you never know when you might need to run for your life. Anne received her first camera for her 8th birthday, and, after deducing that a career as a secretary wouldn’t be as glamorous as previously imagined, decided she would be a photographer when she grew up. She had her first paying client in high school, and graduated from Hallmark Institute of Photography in 2001 with a Top Ten Portfolio.

Thanks to the support and belief of her family and wonderful husband, Anne is now a Wedding Photojournalist Association multiple-award winner, and her wedding images have been featured in several printed publications, including The Knot, Weddings Unveiled, Southern Weddings, and Brides, as well as on well-loved wedding blogs including Offbeat Bride, Style Me Pretty, and Elizabeth Anne Designs, to name a few. Anne accepts 15-20 wedding commissions each year, and shoots frequently with one of her very talented second shooters to make sure each couple’s story receives all the attention it deserves.

When she’s not shooting weddings, Anne’s photography schedule is full with portrait work, non-profit event photography, local commercial shoots, and whatever personal project she’s currently working on.
