Birdsong Photography

From my first contact with Brett and Julie Birdsong, I knew they were “the ones.” I had very definate ideas about what I wanted in and from a photographer and after a few conversations with them, I signed the contract for my wedding date. Brett and Julie worked with my budget and adjusted their services to fit my needs.

Although they are located in OK, they shot our engagement shoot in FL and will be doing the same for our upcoming wedding in FL. This was more cost effective than the local photographers I had been meeting with. But more importantly, their work is amazing and they are so easy to work with. Brett and Julie spent time with us brainstorming about our shoot and giving us lots of ideas to choose from. When we met with them for the shoot, their manner was relaxing and allowed us to be comfortable. My fiance and I laughed throughout the whole engagement session. Once we started receiving our teasers from them, I cried on more than one occasion. The photos had exceeded what I could have asked for! We were amazed.

Brett and Julie Birdsong come with my highest recommendation. We could not have found a photographer more compatible with our needs and expectations!

The examples I have submitted are from our engagement shoot. I will be submitting another review and photos of my April 2009 wedding.

Kellie Kano Photography

Photography was the number two most important factor, after the location, for our out-of-state wedding. I researched who our photographer was going to be for six long weeks and analyzed everything about each person’s work. When I finally came across Kellie’s work, I was so relieved. The questions were out- I had a real peace and knew who I wanted. To give you the full extent of my reaction to my photos Kellie did for us I found my original emails I sent to her when I saw the photographs for the first time. Her photojournalistic style is so pure and really documented our wedding with such emotion. She is such a delight to work with. She had two wonderful assistant photographers with her who were amazing as well and all the family said they didn’t ever even know any of them were there. Very professional in every way. Even though there are five states between us I will use her again!

“Oh my gosh!
I’d make that larger but that is as large as my settings will get it. I can not express to you how unbelievable these are for us. My mom cried on the phone when she went to the blog with me on the line. You did an extraordinary job with everything- it exceeded my expectations- and I think everyone else’s as well! All the family just went on and on about how wonderful you were to work with. You have a real gift and I am so blessed and excited our paths crossed with you during this once-in-a-lifetime event. Wow- there really isn’t words to describe what y’all have done. There are some in there of my mom that just make my heart sink. You stopped time in that exact moment and captured it just beautifully. All the work is unbelievable. You have a great team, thank you so much for making this event frozen in time. Now I won’t have to explain to our kids, (someday) how nervous their dad was because he thought he had to memorize his vows… they can see it! And they won’t ever forget how beautiful their Grammy is. :) With your imagination, creativity and expertise there is no end to the greatness with this photography. Each one I see is better than the last Thank you, thank you, thank you!”

Excellent work,
Mandy

Made of Honor Weddings

When my husband and I got engaged one year ago, I decided to interview wedding planners. When I interviewed Katrina from Made of Honor Weddings she said something to me that I never forgot. She said, “I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty and roll up my sleeves to get a job done. I’m not the kind of wedding planner that just sits around and delegates.” I was pretty much sold at that point. From day one she stayed true to her word and came through with every challenge that crossed our paths. Her unique ideas and bubbly personality made our wedding planning and wedding day such a memorable and breathtaking event. We love her and believe that she treated us as real people and not just clients. She will definitely give you the wedding of your dreams!

Whitebox Weddings

Melanie and Sara shot engagement photos, bridal portraits, our wedding, and a day after shoot. They have such a creative eye, and their style is very unique. There is just no comparison between the photos they take and any other photographer I have ever seen. They spent 10 hours with us on our wedding day, documenting every moment, and then they designed a beautiful coffee table book of our favorite photos that told the story of our day perfectly. They are true artists and are able to tell a story with their images. Not only was the final product amazing, but they did an amazing job of blending in to the reception and taking fabulous candid shots that no one realized they were taking. Instead of having lots of cheesy posed photos, we have shots that show the real emotion and fun of the evening. They are also such fun people to be around, and they are able to inject a lot of energy into the bridal party and family photos. They had everyone laughing, and we got great shots without the fake smiles. I would recommend them to anyone who really wants a great way to remember their special day. Our engagement photos and my bridal portraits were equally wonderful. They had really creative ideas, and we had such a good time having our pictures taken. We spent the evening at the State Fair for our engagement shoot, so we got really great images of us having a good time instead of posed shots. My portraits were done in a few different locations, and all used lots of natural light and had lots of life to them. Our day after shoot was so much fun. We got to get dressed up again and do things we didn’t have time for on the wedding day. They showed up with a vintage bike with a basket we took pictures with, we played croquet, and we even drew on the sidewalk and took photos of that. We also got some shots with our basset hound. It is great to have the formal pictures from the wedding day and also get some really fun pictures of you just being yourself once the pressure of that day is over. Melanie and Sara were by far the best decision we made for our wedding, and I will definitely be using them for any future milestones in our life together.

Laura Hopper Calligraphy

Laura is an absolute pleasure to work with! Her work is beautifully done, with every detail just perfect. She has so many great styles to choose from, it was hard to decide. Laura was professional, always responded promptly and was so nice to deal with every step of the process. I received my envelopes beautifully wrapped in gorgeous paper, tied with a satin ribbon, which made opening them even more exciting! Every envelope was done with perfection. I would absolutely use Laura again, and I highly recommend her!

Nicole Green

Nicole Green is a fantastic photographer. She has an excellent eye for details and is one of the most easy going people I have ever met. She is very open to listening to the desires of the bride & groom in order to capture the special images they want on their wedding day. She shoots with her boyfriend Dan and the two make a great team. They shoot in both color and black and white. She will not disappoint.

Creative Montage

I don’t even know where to start with my praise for the exceptional customer service I received from Creative Montage. I used them for a monogram for my wedding. Simple and very affordable. First of all, they have a huge selection of standard monograms as well as custom. I chose standard ones and had them well within the two week time frame given. I had A LOT of trouble getting them to work on my computer. This is not a common problem, I seem to always have these problems but Aimee was FABULOUS! We emailed back and forth more than 10 times troubleshooting. She did everything she could to help and finally we found a solution and I was able to use my monograms. She was so helpful, never made me feel bad for asking for help, and it was the owner of the company taking the time and effort for a $4 monogram!! You will not be dissapointed if you use Creative Montage!

Laura Hooper Calligraphy

I would highly recommend Laura Hooper Calligraphy to all brides looking for a perfect save the date!
As soon as I started working with Laura I was amazed that it was Laura herself e-mailing me and helping me customize my save the dates. Not only did my save the dates come out exacty the way I wanted, the customer service was absolutely fantastic. It was a great feeling not to be rushed, it seemed extremely important for Laura to have her customers happy (I wish that happened more often in wedding planning).
The save the dates for our Bermuda wedding are beautiful and very appropriate for my fiance and me. It was great to be able to be a part of customizing something that means so much, and a lot of paper companies don’t allow that.
After the experience I had with the save the dates, I look forward to working with Laura and her team on other paper products for my wedding, it was an absolute pleasure!
