Craft: classic crafting.. the christmas card

I love adventure traveling, crafting and DIY projects, building houses in Botswana, and baking key lime pies!

One of my Christmas traditions is to make my own Christmas cards but I always seem to get carried away!  The thought of making Christmas cards seems simple and cheap in the beginning but soon my cards get so involved that I am sweating over them for hours.  This year I decided to change things.  I got the inspiration for these simple cards from one of my favorite paper stores, Paper Source. Here is how you can make your own reindeer cards with one stop shopping or use the idea as a foundation for your own darling (yet inexpensive and simple!) Christmas crafting:

1. All you need to start is a cute Christmas stamp, versamark stamp pad (stamps clear), embossing powder, an embosser (a really good and cheap investment if you don’t already have one), and any desired embellishments (clearly a red nose was needed for rudolph!)

2. Simply stamp using the versamark, sprinkle the powder over the ink, shake it off and heat it up so that it crystallizes and forms a raised outline of your stamp.  That’s it! You are done.

3. The best part is you don’t have to limit your stamp design to Christmas cards… I also used the same process to make gift tags!

we heart your comments!
