Fitness: Freebies

Welcome to the EAD Living blog! We are so excited to have you here. If you are a new visitor, we'd love for you to subscribe to our RSS feed and visit our sister site, EAD Weddings. Thanks for visiting and we hope you come back soon!

Because of our intense hatred of gym fees, we at EAD are always on the lookout for free fitness resources.  Here are a few of favorite resources that have helped us.

1.  SparkPeople

SparkPeople is my go to site for calorie tracking and health information.  I love that you can track any nutrient, and the sense of community and encouragement is found nowhere else.  They offer a  7 Day Bootcamp routine that is pretty effective at

2.  You Tube

YouTube has an amazing library of pilates and yoga related videos.  Many of the videos are created by fitness professionals building up their base of clients and marketing their name.  The result is a lot of quality videos for FREE.  Yogatic by Esther Ekhart is my current favorite. I love her accent, and her videos are awesome.

3.  One Hundred Push Ups

Passed on to us by Dana, one hundred pushups is a great site because it has one goal-to perform 100 pushups in six weeks.

4.  Gimme 20

Part blog part motivator, Gimme 20 will get you moving through community, humor and motivation.  Use their workout builder first!

5. Fitday

Another site passed on to us by a reader, Jenna, FitDay is a great tracking tool.  Unfortunately, they are sorely lacking on the workout helps.  However, the interface is a lot faster than Sparkpeople and they have it in PC version.

Bonus: Your Local Library

library jclc birmingham living blog

It’s not 100% online, but our library lets you search their database for material and request them for pick up at our branch.  We walk in, pick it up off the hold shelf, and do self checkout.  It takes less than 5 minutes.  They’ll also order in any book you request if you speak to a librarian.

we heart your comments!

Now that is English with a Dutch accent for you.
She is very good though! Thanks for sharing!!
