Organized Clutter

Hi! I'm the editor and publisher of Elizabeth Anne Designs. I live in Chicago with my hubby and puppy and am passionate about the Atlanta Braves, pumpkin pie, and traveling around the world!

I’ve already admitted that I’m a clutterbug.  But you see, it’s not only because I’m lazy (which admittedly sometimes I am), it’s also because I actually love the look of clutter.  It looks lived-in, homey, and comfortable.

It seems that my decorating style has a name: ”organized clutter”!  Here are some of my favorite pictures (I’d love to have all of this in my home, seriously, and I’d know where every single thing was located in my “clutter”):

    that would be my personal hell. LOL my friend matti loooves that style though. isn’t it funny how people can have such different taste in decor?

    Oh yeah, me. I like clutter for the lived-in feeling, and also because I am lazy. I like the pictures you posted, because they DO look organized. Clutterbugs like me need some storage inspiration now and then!

    It’s not clutter if to you, it’s organized.

    I too love the apple box stacks… I have lots and I love the natural look! Great post Elizabeth!

    OMG – I am trendy! I struggle to make my house look like everyone elses! Not anymore, today I find out that I actually do have a style! Organized Clutter! My book cases so look like that! You have made my day! Oh happy day!

    I don’t even want to admit it but I’m an un-organized mess! At least one can hope to someday not have piles of ideas laying around – imagwhow productive we could be if only our workspace looked like that top pic from Apartment Therapy!!

    An organized mess for sure!
