My interests are photography and crafting. I am a resident of the beautiful southern city of Birmingham, Alabama. You can read more about my life on Honeysuckle Life.

Vegetarians, beware.  This post may induce nausea!

A friend sent a link to a NYTimes slideshow titled “Pig, Pig, and More Pig” and I had to share.

It’s 2 lbs of bacon woven into a mat (yes, a bacon mat) with 2 lbs of sausage and bacon crumbles inside.  Can you say immediate heart attack?  I have honestly never seen anything like this, and I live in a state where recipes usually call for “2 sticks of butter.”  For a much healthier pork fix, head over to Heart Homecooked (our BOTM) for her Sausage Frittata recipe.

  1. Hmmm… did I mention that one of Chris’ friends thought this would be a good idea to make?? So, for the Super Bowl, they made this monstrosity. Granted, they only used a pound of bacon and a pound of sausage, and they sliced it up and didn’t eat the whole thing…. but still. It was massive.
Luckily for me, being sick, a giant meat roll didn’t sound appetizing. They did say it was really good, though.
