Green: Sustainable Food

My interests are photography and crafting. I am a resident of the beautiful southern city of Birmingham, Alabama. You can read more about my life on Honeysuckle Life.

Does anyone else feel a little overwhelmed when you read an article telling you that you should eat locally and organically? For me, it’s hard to know where to start. Especially if you don’t live in a town with an organic year round market. We have a great farmer’s market, but it definitely isn’t organic.  Our best option is Whole Foods, but we can’t get everything we need there.  On top of that, my husband just quit his full time job in December to go full time freelance.  You can imagine what that does to reduce our grocery budget!

Enter Sustainable Table. It has literally everything you can think of in regards to sustainable eating: how to’s, shopping guides, recipes, information, and a thousand other pieces of information. As eating better is one of my goals for 2009, I’ll be scouring this website for help!
