This morning I gave you a room for a little girl who loves pink.  This time, I’ve come up with a room for a little boy who loves cars.

Decor - boy's room cars

Source (clockwise from top left): Bedding – Pottery Barn Kids ($189 f/q quilt, $32 x 2 shams), Matchbox Cars print 1 – SuRi Photography ($10.30 for 16″x11″), Matchbox Cars print 2 – fosterbk ($25 for 8″x10″), wall decal – ahintofchicboutique ($32), curtains – Ikea ($19.99/2 pack), toy storage – Ikea ($93.99), bedside table – Ikea ($39.99), table lamp – Ikea ($39.99).

I’d give him a simple full-length mirror on the back of his door (e.g., $7.99 from Ikea).  For additional clothes storage, I’d snag a chest of drawers (e.g., $69.99 from Ikea), possibly paint it a medium blue, and add some cool knobs to it (e.g., $5.25 from CoolKnobsAndPulls.com).

Wow – boys are cheaper than girls!  This room would be just over $700*.  If there’s a bit more room in the budget, I’d add trains/planes/trucks sheets from Target and a nice, simple white fan for overhead lighting (e.g., $33.92 from Lowes).

*Not shown: Paint – $30 (estimated), curtain rods – $30 (estimated $15 each for 2), frames – $30 (estimated $15 each for 2).
