Decor: Girls just wanna have fun

I apparently can’t leave well enough alone – I had so much fun putting together the last two rooms that I wanted to do another one.  Here’s another room idea for a girl who loves pink but is looking for something a little more modern than my last board.

Sources: Bedding from Target ($65 for comforter and shams, $14.24 for each pillow); chandelier from Gallery802 ($126); curtains from Target ($18 per panel); inverted colors of Ikea hack from Design*Sponge (3-drawer chest $69.99); table lamp from Target ($19.99); castle wall decal from Circle Line Studio at etsy ($26).

To finish the room, I’d choose this Shabby Chic nightstand from Target ($169.99), a white framed mirror (e.g., Falls Village Mirror from Target, $84.99) for over the chest of drawers, and a simple full-length mirror on the back of her door (e.g., $7.99 from Ikea).  She’ll also, of course, need some art in addition to the castle decal!  I like the following (The Frog Princess by Mizzdraconia ($16); The Accolade by Edmund Blair Leighton ($12.99 AllPosters)):

Or, to go a different way (Glamis Castle by Simon Marsden ($34.99 AllPosters); Margam Castle by Simon Marsden ($34.99 AllPosters)):

All told, this room would run a bit over $750* – again, a pretty good budget room including some furniture and lots of decorative items.

*Not shown: Paint – $30 (estimated), curtain rods – $30 (estimated $15 each for 2), frames – $30 (estimated $15 each for 2).
