Decor: Seashells in Design
Welcome to the EAD Living blog! We are so excited to have you here. If you are a new visitor, we'd love for you to subscribe to our RSS feed and visit our sister site, EAD Weddings. Thanks for visiting and we hope you come back soon!
With the weather warming up, thoughts of sandy beaches and blue oceans come to mind. Since we don’t all live by the beach, using seashells as accents inside your home can bring thoughts of blue skies and warmer weather. I love decorating with shells because they’re easy, inexpensive, and you can use a lot for a totally coastal look, or just a couple for a more subtle look.

Another way you can use and incorporate shells is to attach them to an object or piece of furniture, a practice called “Coquillage”.

I thought this idea was really cute and a little different than the normal – seashell trim!

Using seashells, or for that matter coral, starfish, or sea fans to decorate with can be so easy, and there are so many possibilities.

I am a huge fan of your website and link your posts all the time. I am obsessed with the seashell mirror- THANK YOU so much for posting it!
I’ve been collecting shells (in shops and on the beach) for years and decorate my living room with them. I never seem to get tired of them and have done so whether I lived near the coast or not. My roots have always been on the left coast and having shells around (most of which don’t come from the Pacific) always reminded me of home.
