GO RICHER AND DARKER!!!! Just go for it! If you don't like it, you're going to have to bleach it out to go back blonde whether you're a light brown or a darker brown. So just go for it!

When I went back to brown, I went to my stylist to do it. She took it really really dark at first (to combat "fading"). It was almost black, I tell you (a little too dark). So I totally understand the whole feeling of looking washed out! (I had to change how I did my makeup, and find what colors looked really good on me. ) But, like you, I really really came to like it!! I was channeling Catherine Zeta Jones. And I still like it!

It's just a big change. Have your stylist work on making it a little richer and live with it for a month or so. Then if you still don't like it, you can always go back to blonde.

Don't forget to show us pictures!!! I'll look and see if I have any of me as a blonde that I have on my computer - if I do I'll put up a before and after.

i go with a fairly bright blond in spring and summer, then the stylist goes more golden in the fall, and then darker in the winter. i'm always shocked with the winter look and then end up loving it. so... i vote for getting back to blonde for now and then going brunette in the fall/winter.

Find a compromise.

I recently went from SUPER blonde to more of a dirty blonde. And a quick note- it took a multiple visits for my hair to take the darker color. Make sure you go to someone who knows what they are doing. Don't try to do it all in one visit and ruin your hair!
