Normally, this would fall under a “Craft” project, but I just wanted to share with you one of my current obsessions: decoupaged plates from John Derian.

I came across a picture of a grouping of them hung on a wall and I was smitten. They are so different from what I normally thought of decoupage. They were more simple and elegant, which inspired me to look at the craft in a little different light.

What’s more, there are so many different projects that you could use decoupage for.

Since this is an easy and inexpensive craft, it’s inspired many ideas for me and I think I’ll be trying a few of them out. Have any of you decoupaged before? Great results or not?

Groupings can be so hard to create, this one is so unique with all of the different sizes and comes together perfectly! And I love love love that bird lamp, so pretty :)
I like this grouping of plates.
Decoupage is the one crafting technique I haven’t gotten around to trying. Sad to say, I have even bought all the materials needed to decoupage. I just haven’t done it. Everyone makes it sound so easy. Who knows, maybe I’ll try it this weekend.
