I can totally relate to your post. My husband is in the army and before we got married we had been apart for over 2 years, with only 48 days total spent together. Now he is home, we are married, and at our new duty station. He works mostly 20 hr days, 7 days a week. Sometimes shorter hours on the weekends and some overnights mixed in. People always asked how I got through it and wasn't I lonely and like you I always just enjoyed my free time, although I would have much rather spent it with him, I got by keeping myself busy and occupied. He was in the military when I met him and I knew what the life would entail before I agreed to marry him. No sense in complaining about it.

Although my husband doesn't bring me fancy toiletries...
