I'm all about white dishes--I have a white everyday set and our 'china' is just bone china and is a fabulous white, minimal design. I love Bialetti and have a Moka espresso maker. I also have an Armetale serving dish and simply love when I can pull it out and impress people. While we haven't invested in the good knives, I have a favorite and it's a cheap santoku style. It's made all the difference in my cooking... I love when I can use it.

Love this post! I also opted for white dinnerware, we chose ours from Crate and Barrel. We didn't register for Wilton Armetale, but received a few pieces. I'd always liked it, just didn't take the time to pick out ones I wanted. Now I use the pieces a lot. I also chose the same exact towels from BBB and I LOVE LOVE them. I want to get more so we have enough for both bathrooms.

I love our white dishware. I take a lot of photos for my blog so white shows off the food better.
I'm still drooling over those latte bowls. They were on our registry and I never got them!

The cusinart panini maker, it has three sets of removable plates (dishwasher safe!) and it can be a griddle and indoor grill among many other things. My gold baking pans from William Sonoma was another big one. I went a little scanner happy at william sonoma and then a friend went on the registry and bought me double everything I asked for-I ended up with no less than 40 different gold baking pans (baking sheets, muffin tins, bread loaf bans, bundt pans, cake pans). Needless to say, most of those went back but the ones I kept I LOVE. They are by far the best I have ever used. My william sonoma food chopper is another to die for favorite. This item ends up sitting out on my counter because we seriously use it every day. It chops anything, and it doesn't require a lot of muscle to operate. I could go on and on listing out various items, but I won't bore you. :)

Awww, great post, Kate!

And is it any surprise that we both have and love the Asolo collection from Williams-Sonoma? (Actually, I think Mojito Maven might've gifted us both with it!)

I agree with a ton of this - we have a new wood block cutting board that we adore, and we DEARLY love our knives (Shun Classics for us). Our big revelation was probably All-Clad, which I know doesn't fit into your specs here, but the pans are so magnificent I feel the need to plug them whenever possible!

The dinnerware that we registered for was being discontinued, so we just said we wanted as much of it as possible since that'd be our last chance. While I'm very happy to now have an endless supply of red dishes, I have to admit that the ten boxes of unopened dishes (still in the corner of our living room, no less) might've been overkill. All those extra dishes could've bought more All-Clad or Shun!!!!
