Let’s go dream decorating, shall we?
I realize my last two posts on EADL have been food related so to honor our other interests … I figured we’d go dream decorating this week! You may recall that I posted a few of these furniture pieces on ABCD Design before, but what I will say to defend the re-post is that “dream” interior designing is an evolutionary process. New pieces make it on my list, and on occasion, a few will disappear. If items consistently make the cut on my list – they will become a runner in contention for my new space. Recently, I have mixed in a few new finds I am completely loving … and if I were decorating my own place right now I would consider snapping them up!
One company’s style that I completely adore is Wisteria. They have some amazing home decor items that will add a lot of bang to your decor for relatively little buck. $159.00 seems quite reasonable for this industrial style Cooper’s Draftsman Stool, doesn’t it? It has such a great turn-of-the century look.
I could think of several uses for this Scandinavian Spindle Leg Table. It works as a side table, a console table, flower-cutting table or maybe in a quick fix it could be a desk to work on your laptop or to write thank-you notes at! I love that it is rustic and could easily make a new room feel lived in, warm and well loved.
Uh, how amazing is this rustic zinc topped table? $199 bucks. It would be lovely in your entrance foyer. Add a basket or two -OR- a collection of ceramic vases and urns on the bottom shelf. Complete perfection, right?
Speaking of collections: when setting up a vignette for display, think about your collection as it grows and you add to it. Do they all speak to one another? Start your collection by keeping it within the same color-way. Grow the collection by purchasing different shapes. Displaying them in odd numbers of 3 or 5 pieces will look a heck of a lot prettier than an even number of items on the table.
Okay, enough about collections. We must stay on point! Let’s get back to shopping … I’d like to have everything featured in the photo below. Such beautiful decor from fcl Style, don’t you think? You’ve got to love the French Linen Parsons Chairs. This pedestal dining table is fab. Yes, please!
This set of Pottery Barn mirrors (pictured second below) gives the look and feel of our living room DIY project. Let me tell you, getting 48 mirrors to hang perfectly straight in a grid on the wall was a HUGELY difficult task for Mr. D to take on. It took several weekends of grid drawing, mirror mastic schmearing and days upon days to dry.
If the budget was there, and if we were not DIY-ing it … I wonder what several of these Pottery Barn Mirrors would look like as a group? Insanely amazing, I am sure! Not to mention, it would be oh-so-perfectly straight without hassle, right? Heck, even the one mirror hanging here alone looks pretty darn good to me.
Speaking of mirrors, I am really into this collage of vintage mirrors from Anthropologie. In the right spot, over a bed or behind a dresser … Perhaps it is too contrived -?- maybe. We’ll see if it makes the cut next time I dream decorate!
My very, very, VERY favorite piece from Anthropologie right now is the Italian Campaign Canopy. It might even look nifty with the collage of mirrors hanging above it. Now that is an idea!
Look at this very similar bed in action. Pure gorgeous, spa-like, bliss-filled-goodness, no?

Speaking of looks I love in the bedroom: I also really like this Westport bed from William Sonoma. There is just something about how the headboard wraps around that I adore! It’s so handsome.
I would also like to add a few of these sheepskin rugs underfoot. They’re so cozy to dig your toes into during the winter time. We had smaller ones in our last bedroom on either side of the bed. There wasn’t anything quite like having this fuzziness be the first thing to touch your feet in the morning – it’s so luxurious! In the bedroom it is all about over-the-top coziness, isn’t it?
Last but not least, the Kristen bookcase from White Wash and Co. (in antique black stain, of course!) would be a great addition to any living room, dining room or study. I’d love to see it stocked with my books, china, collectables, or a combination all three!
Now it seems I have hit almost every room in the house, haven’t I? Did you find anything that made your dream decorating list? Do you have any sources for online furniture shopping you’d like to suggest to me and the other EAD Living readers?

Thanks Maggie!
Heather, I have had my eye on that Campaign bed for some time – it is really well priced for the statement it makes, I think! As for Wisteria… I am always a little surprised when I run into people who have yet to find it — I think it is a wonderful source for interesting pieces and if one person reading this post becomes a new fan, I am happy for it!
P.S. Did you know that Vicente Wolf plans to do a line of furniture for Wisteria?!? DREAMY! http://vicentewolfblog.com/projects/wisteria/

I have two ZGallerie beds on my wishlist. I also like their mirrored nightstands, but I would want an armoire to match and they only sell a dresser. http://www.zgallerie.com/p-3670-east-st-bed-pearl.aspx OR http://www.zgallerie.com/pc-6514-66-nina-bed.aspx
I think I am leaning towards the Nina bed since I think it has more impact.
