I ALWAYS wonder if we would match online! And climate issues- sheesh. I’m a Northeasterner living in the Arizona desert. My husband was born and raised in the desert. I took him home for his first white Christmas and he had to learn to shovel snow- he hadn’t a clue. However when its 109 here, I make him go fetch the mail as I lie under the ceiling fan.

um, YES! This is my life. I would love to move South (hate the cold) and my husband would like to move North (hates the heat.) Hilarious! It’s so funny how the little details can be consuming. My husband and I always joke about how our personalities are a perfect match (because the Myers-Briggs said so), but sometimes it’s the lifestyle similarities that make our marriage easy.

Examples: neither of us like tomatoes, we’re both night people, and we like the house to be frigid. We both had roommates who preferred to keep the home a sauna, and when we moved in together it was so liberating to be able to keep the house cold.

Oh, and congratulations on the pregnancy!

Well written and amusing post! I’m not much help because we’re from the same climate–dry California heat. We live in San Diego now, and neither one of us has complained about the weather since it doesn’t really change much from 75 degrees.
We’re both with you, we can’t stand the cold!
