Next Stop Wonderland

Welcome to the EAD Living blog! We are so excited to have you here. If you are a new visitor, we'd love for you to subscribe to our RSS feed and visit our sister site, EAD Weddings. Thanks for visiting and we hope you come back soon!

Hi everyone! My name is Maggie, and I’m thrilled to join the ranks of fabulous women over here on EAD Living!

If my mug over on the right looks familiar, that’s because I recently recapped my May 2009 beach wedding for EAD Weddings. (Do campaign logos, red and blue patterns, and DIY crafts galore ring a bell?) I also hang out full-time at The Freckled Citizen, so you might know me from that red- and blue-splashed site, too (what can I say, old habits die hard).

Now that wedding madness is behind us (although admittedly, we have yet to print a single wedding photo… not quite sure what we are waiting for!), I’m a busy girl. There are work demands, sure, but there’s also kitchen adventuring, weekend getaways, girls’ nights out, and that ever-present question: What’s Next?

While I’m originally from North Carolina, I’ve done my fair share of bouncing around for college, graduate school, and the years in between. I fell in love with clam chowdah and New England during my stint in Boston. While living in Albuquerque, I fell hard for green chile and the New Mexico sky. But what I fell hardest for was my now-husband, whom I followed to Dallas just over two years ago. And while we are lucky to have some fantastic friends here (shout-outs to EADers Kate and Mojito Maven, two of my local partners in crime!), we’re ready to be back East permanently and closer to our families. Trevor has done his fair share of bouncing around, too. In fact, our life map looks a little exhausting. (Can you imagine all the plane tickets we’ve purchased over the years just to hug our parents?)

So where to next, you ask? Well, that’s the big question. We have our eyes on several cities on the East Coast, and the next couple of months are going to be verrrrry interesting for the two of us. What does that mean for EAD? Well, you get the backseat to our big decisions and new adventures, of course! Buckle in and hang on tight, because it’s going to be a heck of a ride.

Soooooo happy to see you here on EADL!!! Hooray!

My advice: don’t put all of your clothes in storage and think you’ll figure it out by the time the seasons change. That is what I did. It’s October and I am still wearing sandals! Eeeek.

Looking forward to reading your posts Mrs. Maggie!
