My Favorite Christmas Gift

Christmas is over and I’m finally settling back into my normal routine. I loved being home and spending time with my family, but by the end of my 10 day stay I just wanted to be in my own bed, with my fridge full of the food that makes up my regular diet, no longer needing to dig through my suitcase every time I needed something to wear. I’ve created a list of the gifts we received so thank you notes can be sent out because if I don’t write it down I’ll forget who gave me what. Yes, I was a very lucky girl this year.
Not to choose favorites but… I’m going to tell you which is my favorite. It’s the gift that makes me smile every time I use it. I think it’s also the gift I can’t stop talking about because I threw it on to my wish list at the last second when my mom asked for ideas. A few things I wanted/needed this year? A toaster. LaraBars. Accessories to dress up my black stretchy maternity dresses. And oh yeah, a robe since I remember making my dad a bit uncomfortable while I walked around in my towel when my parents came to stay for the weekend at the beginning of December.
Yep, my favorite gift this year, out of all the wonderful things I was blessed to receive, is a robe. This robe to be exact.
This isn’t just any robe. It’s the softest, most luxurious, dreamiest article of clothing I have ever slipped into. Wearing it feels like a visit to the spa and I find myself getting excited to step out of the shower each day and slip into it.Thanks mom, this was one of my favorite gifts ever from you.
What about you? What was your favorite Christmas gift this year?
P.S.-Isn’t the model posing this way ridiculous?

My favorite present is a beautiful tree made of Iron, that my husband purchase at the studio of a Blacksmith. You screw it to the wall and can hang your jewelery on it. It’s not only useful but beautiful. I love surrounding myself with art, and now I get to look at all my jewelery collection in the mornig and pick what I feel like wearing.
We saw it a his friend’s studio a couple weeks before Christmas, I fell for it and kept on telling my husband that it’s what I wanted for my birthday in July, thinking he already had my Christmas present. Well it was in a big perfectly square box on Christmas morning.

Jenna,
The model in the second pose makes me think I never want to buy that robe. Worst marketing ever!
My favorite gift this year was this bright soft red robe that my husband bought me, but the joy of having my first grandchild here who is 10 months old was here for Christmas Eve. And no gift can compare to having the greatest husband and exchanging our gifts to each other with a glass of champagne. This is so special to me. This is my first time on your blog, but I love the way you have put it together, and I’ll be back regularly now to read more. Keep up the good work, and enjoy your robe.
Cecy-Lovely! That’s a gift you’re going to keep around for a long time to come. Your jewelry looks beautiful hanging from it!
Jesseca-I know!
Paula-Even though we spent Christmas day with my parents my husband and I waited until we were back in Texas together to do a private exchange. I loved spending that special time together, just the two of us.

Love the second model shot. Reminds me of Tyra when she tells the contestants they are being too catalog-y.
My favorite present, in all seriousness, is The Clapper. (yes, from the commercials with the catchy jingle). I’ve asked for one for the past 7 years – and my husband finally got me one. I love it! I wake up, and I “clap on”. I’m done reading and I “clap off.” Makes me smile every day. :)

My absolute favorite gift this past Christmas was spending time with my daughter, which this was my very first Christmas to do so with her ever. She is 9 years old. Course the great black hooded warm Kenneth Cole Reaction coat came in a close second. That robe does look comfy.
