Hi, as per Food Inc., anyone who sees the plentiful videos of neglect, torture and eventual death of billions of animals in this country alone should pause, think about it and stop eating animals. Factory farmers do not care about the environment, our health or the animals that suffer on their farms, they only care about money money money… and it is up to all of us to stop this sick cycle.

We’ve made excuse after excuse after excuse for the abuse to the environment, our health and most importantly the lives of the animals we sacrifice without thanks. It is a fact that the human body is not designed to eat animals and in the end it kills us, slowly but surely.

Take the time to google the videos of the plight of farm animals in this country, be mindful, be thankful and do not support those who torture.

I too have been dying for cobalt! It was a last minute decision to go for Cassis ONLY because we are currently living in a tiny apartment and I thought it would look pretty with our decor! (If we run out of storage space, I wanted to be sure that I didn’t mind looking at it on the stove-top!)

I totally agree. The cobalt is gorgeous.

I have a flame colored one in the 5.5 quart and find it a tad small on occasion. This go around, I ordered the 7.25 quart so that in the future I will not find myself with two of the same size pots once we get settled.

Beautiful! I’m saving up for a Le Creuset of my very own – but I have no idea what size to get, let alone if round or oval is preferable? Any suggestions for a household of two, that will hopefully be using the french oven for years as the family grows?

Maggie, I know this is trivial, but Eggplant has been my color of the season. I have had three brides with plum color, I did our 2009 Sucked A$$ happy 2010 mailing labels in plum and tomato AND the new apartment also has hints of eggplant. It looks so super good in our place. Since it’s an L-shaped studio, you can see everything from the kitchen to the bed in one swoop.
