Chevron, Zigzag and Stripes… Love it, or hate it?

I have been crushing on patterned floor tiles and graphic stone flooring for some time, but have not determined if I could be swayed into this sort of carpet.

I really like that third one. It is so unique and different. It especially works well with that table in the middle of that pattern.

I love them! I think it brings a lot of visual interest to a space and really helps to define a room. Especially love the blue and white one in the second photo.

http://bit.ly/9vzjdK similar post, different take. Check it out! :)

I love it. I’m a fan of bold color and bold patterns, and having them on the floor seems less overwhelming and easier to change out.

Pam, I too am super glad you found EADL keep your comments coming! :)

Sarah, I have been dying over navy and white recently. It’s such a classic combination – that is the first photo I found for this post … and I went in search of more! xx

Thanks for your comments ladies — and be sure to check out the other link I posted in the comments earlier. The comments on that post are really interesting as well as the links within the post… it could keep you reading about patterns on the floor for some time! ;)

Love it. Plus if you get an inexpensive version from ikea or west elm if you change your mind at some point it won’t be the end of the world!

I LOVE it!!!
Especially in neutral colors for large rugs. For smaller rugs or runners, I like the graphic look of a higher contrast like the ones you have posted.
They are really fun.

Rachel,

I am glad it’s a winner wÍth you. Good idea about the neutral in larger areas. Seems most I have seen are of the black+white or navy+white variety…

I’ll keep my eyes peeled and report back!

Have you looked at Shyam Ahuja?? They are known for their dhurries – and they can custom make something for you.

You are right – most of the stripe-y and chevron rugs out there right now are black and white or blue and white, but I’ve seen a few neutral ones around. They’re just not as popular or readily available, so usually clients have to have them custom made.
