Last time I posted, I talked about neutral color schemes and how calm and relaxing they can be. But if that’s not for you, sometimes adding just a hit of color into that scheme can take it from relaxing to a little more visually exciting!

As much as I love looking at and dreaming of pale neutral rooms, I live with small pops of color in my home. To me, it adds some visual interest and a little excitement. Plus, keeping the color in small doses like pillows or throws means that I can change it all out pretty easily.

Something as small as a pillow, some artwork, or a painted piece of furniture can really add a big statement to a room.

So, do you prefer all neutral rooms, or do you like a little color in your life??

LOVE white with pops of color. My favorite is strong woods added in to bring a real natural earthy element. Makes my heart go pitter pat. :)
I would literally die if I lived in an all neutral house. Every so often I still go crazy from the amount of brown in our living, dining, kitchen area. Brown cabinets, brown floors, brown table, brown chairs, brown sofa and loveseat and coffee table…. this list goes on and on. Of course there are different tones, but… brown is brown. :) Thank goodness for cheap color in kitchen accessories, sofa pillows, etsy prints, and coffee table books. And I’m excited that new white chairs are on the agenda!
ps. Great pictures!

I think that first picture is my favorite! Love the plates and box combos! But I also really like the pop of color with the chair, I definitely have a love for neutrals with pops of color!

I LOVE that turquoise nightstand and that old, rustic room above it. I do LOVE color though, I might need a bit more… :)
