Etsy Obsessed: Accessories
Here we are in Week #3 of my series on Etsy Finds for all of life’s spheres! Last week we explored Etsy’s options for our fall closets, and this week its time to accessorize!
While offering all types of jewelry, I pick Galit Barak for her 14k gold crocheted cocktail rings - bold enough to be worn as a statement piece but dainty enough for all occasions!

Fall Jewels
I know it’s August and still very much summer but with all the fall fashions coming out I can’t help but create my fall fashion wishlist already. Statement jewelry is definitely the accessory for this fall and I’ve already fallen in love with quite a few pieces.
Here are my picks and how I would wear them: (click on images to take you to the direct link)
Love the color and the chunkiness of this necklace. It would go well with just a plain black v-neck or add just the perfect touch to a little black dress.
I love chain necklaces and layering with all the various necklaces that I already own. I would layer the 3 of these together to spice up a tee and skinny jeans.

What a Difference a Watch Makes
We all have our “security blankets”….even as adults. Sometimes they’re as psychological as a friend of mine who counts the light fixtures in every new place she goes. Somehow, that makes her feel better. (Weird, I know. ) When my sister in law was little, she used to have to lean down and touch the ground every few steps. I guess just to make sure it was still there???? For me, my security is my watch. My good ol’ classic Timex. I could have had it for 20 years, or 2 months, you would never know. That’s why I depend on it so much.
I have no idea how you or I would classify my style. I guess my “signature look” would be that you never know what my look will be. Make any sense? I could be bohemian one day, and English rock n’ roll then next. It all depends on my mood. But, the one constant in my fashion experimentation is my watch. Somehow, that one ever-present piece adds just the right amount of credibility to any outfit. I can wear the trendiest, craziest thing in my closet and somehow I feel like people will still take me seriously if I have on that tiny little ticker. Here is the one I have and a few others that will add that sophistication even to your 1980’s neon pink leggings. (I love steel and gold watches. They go with everything.)

My watch; Dress Watch with Stainless Steel; $65, Timex

Chronograph Champagne Dial, $135, Fossil

For the high rollers; Link Quartz with Diamonds, $3,250 (crap!), Tag Heuer

T Series Women’s Chronograph, $120, Timex
What’s your choice of timepiece?

Are Diamonds Forever?
I have had this conversation with several people and wanted to know your thoughts. I find that people are VERY divided on this topic…
Would you upgrade/change your engagement ring (either in size, shape, clarity, or all of the above) assuming you could pay for the upgrade with cash (i.e. no credit cards or debt) and both parties were O.K. with the decision?
Ponder and discuss.

Interview: Building a Jewelry Wardrobe with Jess LC
I have a confession to make: although I love jewelry, I don’t wear a lot of it because frankly I don’t know where to begin! There are so many gorgeous pieces out there, and I’m terrible at making decisions. So I asked uber-talented jewelry designer Jessica Constable of Jess L.C. what the ‘must have’ pieces are for any accessories wardrobe. Here are her ingenious picks, along with my fave fit-the-bill pieces!
1: The “Trench coat” of jewelry: A great gold or silver bracelet- I like them chunky and substantial- it is the perfect substitute for a watch. (Above: Addison Bracelet from Jess LC)
