Organize: Use what you find

You’ll be surprised at what you’ll rediscover when you get organized.  You might find something that’s just perfect for your February centerpiece.  I did!

Don’t forget the Rule of Three (or five) when you’re moving around your rediscovered treasures.  And hopefully your kitty won’t decide to break that rule for you…

Organize: Your Digital Photos – Part 2

By now, you’ve sorted all of your award-winning photos and tossed those photos that fall short of spectacular.  This should leave you with a fairly manageable image library. In my world, a manageable image library contains 3,002 images. (I fell short of my goal of reducing my library by 50%.) Now we’ve come to the heavy lifting. Time to organize and back-up your image library.  Here are my tips for both.

Digital cameras are everywhere.  It’s a beautiful thing.  More and more of life’s little nuances are being captured for prosperity. That cute dog wearing a sweater on the street? Snapped a photo of it.  The mouth-watering slice of chocolate cake you had for lunch? Got it. You looking fantastic in that to-die-for-outfit? You’ve captured it in multiple angles and backgrounds. You see where I’m going with this, right? After a year, you have an …

It’s been a week and a half since my first post on organizing goals.  I thought I would post a check up for my own use.

Pictures & Kitchen – We haven’t started these projects because the studio and closets were our first priority.
Studio & Office- We went crazy at Target buying a lot of bins for our bookshelves.  About 80% of our supplies organized, and I’m currently cleaning out my bins of scrap paper.  Because we’ve reduced so much on …

(Paper Source)

As part of the EAD series on organization I have thought a lot about organizing the part of me that always seems the biggest mess, my thoughts!  Here are some ideas I have gathered for organizing my own thoughts that you might find come in handy:

- When you keep a personal journal write more than just the date on the top, write the day of the week and the time too.  I have to laugh when I look back at what I wrote in college and all …

Resolutions: Organizing Goals

Resolutions: Organizing Goals

Our theme for January and February is Organize.  This could not come at a more convenient time as our house is insanely unorganized after the holiday travel and projects.  Here are the areas that I will work on in the next two months:

Pictures – We haven’t uploaded all of our pictures to our online gallery.  My goal is to completely back them up on our gallery and then to post the pretty pictures on Flickr and Facebook.  I also would …

Resolutions: Take Five

Resolutions: Take Five

I’ve been studying the topic of change lately.  How we change, how we make lasting change, what causes us to fail.  I’ve read a lot of conflicting advice on how to make permanent changes.  One group of experts says resolutions are pointless and never work, others live by them.  Another expert says little changes are most effective, while even more say to make big changes first to stay encouraged.

Personally, I’m not a little change kind of person.  I need to …
