Venetian Romance

We were thrilled when we received an email from Oxford UK based photographer Rosie Parsons from Forever After Images with images from a shoot she recently completed in Venice, Italy.  There is only one word to describe these photographs – wow.

This dramatic background was perfect to highlight the beautiful new collection of gowns from Italian designer Anna Molin.  The dresses were accessorized with jewelry and hair accessories by up-and-coming designer Hannah Salomon of Kutuu and vintage jewelry specialists Flo & Percy.

The next two images are two of my favorites – I adore the area around Doge’s Palace and there is something classic, timeless, but downright hip about these photos.

A great deal of the shoot took place inside two gorgeous Venice hotels – The Locanda Vivaldi and the Palazzo Stern.  Rosie says:

The Locanda Vivaldi is a boutique hotel only a short walk from St Mark’s Square, and features Murano glass chandeliers. The Palazzo Stern has only just reopened after a major refurbishment, and I was the first photographer to be granted access to its prestigious interiors featuring Moorish design from its 15th century roots and filled with pieces of art collected by the owners, the Stern family.

If you’ve ever been to Venice, the next two photos will make you catch your breath.  With one glance, they transported me back to Italy.  Those small alleys with hidden treasures… all of the gorgeous buildings along the Grand Canal…  the colors, the sights, the sounds…

Lastly, my favorite.

Rosie, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful work with Anne, myself, and our readers.  Rosie’s blog is one we should all stalk!  There is a great story here about the behind-the-scenes of this shoot!
