I know lots of you are planning fall weddings so here is some inspiration for you! Amy and Brent were married 11.1.08 and the uber-talented Library member Jessamyn Harris was kind enough to share their Halloween-inspired San Francisco wedding with us!
Amy and Brent did a wonderful job blending Halloween/Dia de los Muertos elements with pumpkins and fall-themed colors and textures to create a beautiful event that had just the right amount of “theme”. Throw in a vintage vibe and you have a completely unique celebration.
Amy is just gorgeous and I agree with Jessamyn – she has a fabulous silent-film-star quality about her!
Their venue, (1 Fort Mason in San Francisco) is absolutely stunning – it is an old officer’s club from WWII and fit Amy and Brent’s wedding perfectly.
Amy and Brent are from Vancouver, so a little rain did nothing to dampen their spirits.
Amy wore gorgeous blue shoes as her “something blue”. I don’t think I’m going to tire of the colored shoe trend any time soon – me loves.
Love all of these portraits that Jessamyn captured – especially those with the beautiful chandelier!
Amy and Brent spiced up their pumpkin decor in a few ways. First, they glued glitter on to some of their pumpkins for a little bit of sparkle and pizzazz:
They also carved their wedding cake silhouette into one of the jack-o-lanterns. SO precious!
During the toasts, Brent’s best man surprised Amy’s bridesmaids with a photo of the three ladies in high school. Love it!
Sibby’s Cupcakery created all of the desserts – love the Dia de los Muertos bride and groom topper and the skull and crossbones icing detail.
Last but not least, a favorite:
